Requirements

  • BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine

  • EM residency not required

  • Case logs reviewed for privileging

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS required

  • Must supervise APPs

  • Online EMR training prior to orientation

  • On-site orientation required

  • Annual Volume: 26,000 ED visits

  • ED Beds: 30

  • Fast Track: 6 beds

  • Admission Rate: 10%

  • Transfers: <2%

  • ICU Beds: 4 (open ICU)

  • Patient Load: ~2 patients per hour

  • CT, MRI, and Ultrasound available

  • Radiology reads available

    Physician Coverage

  • 7am–7pm (12 hr) – 1 physician

  • 2pm–11pm (9 hr) – 1 physician

  • 7pm–7am (12 hr) – 1 physician

    APP Coverage

  • 9am–7pm (10 hr)

  • 4pm–12am (8 hr)
